A shortfall can occur when the benefit that your insurance company offers for a given procedure is less than the fee that we usually charge.
Most insurance companies have not increased their benefits in line with inflation and in some cases they have reduced the amount they are prepared to pay. If your insurance company will not cover your entire anaesthetic fee, the difference is passed onto you.
You will not definitely incur a shortfall, but you will need to check by using our fee calculator or by contacting us directly. Once you have a quote from us, you will be able to contact your insurer to confirm if they will be covering all of our fee.
If there is a shortfall to pay to us, we will send you an invoice to arrange payment.
