If you are a private patient, there are usually three ways to fund your medical care:

Self-pay:

You pay the surgeon, anaesthetist and hospital individually. We will send you an invoice for your anaesthetic fee.

Inclusive care:

The hospital at which you are being treated charges you a fee for your entire package of care. We will not invoice you directly.

Insured:

Your insurer provides you with a benefit to cover all or part of your care costs. There may be an excess or shortfall that you will pay to your surgeon and/or anaesthetist. We will send you an invoice for any shortfall in your insurance benefit. For more information about insurance benefits and shortfalls click here.

Fee calculator:

The fee calculator below will give you an estimate of your anaesthetic fee. In exceptional circumstances, further costs may be incurred if the operation and/or anaesthetic is more complex than originally anticipated. To ensure an accurate quote, please contact your surgeon for the correct OPCS code.
